David C. Becka, 47, formerly of Cortland, died in Cleveland November 25, 2017.  The Cuyahoga County coroner is investigating the cause of death.  He was born September 24, 1970 in Cleveland, the son of Charles D. and Naomi (Renevitz) Becka.

David graduated from the Max Hayes Vocational School in Cleveland, and served in the U.S. Navy, from which he received an honorable discharge.

He is sadly missed by his parents, Charles and Naomi Becka of Cortland; a son, Stefan Becka of Guam; two sisters, Stacey Becka of Cortland, and Kristy (Matt) Duncan of Hiram; and a brother, Scott (Kimberly) Becka of Wickliffe.

A memorial service will be conducted 5:00 pm Monday, December 18, 2017 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Carter officiating.  Friends may call 3:00 to 5:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
