Thomas W. “Foxie” Woolf, 91, of Warren, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the emergency room of St. Joseph Health Center. He was born August 19, 1926 in Trenton, N.J., the son of Clara Hellyer, and had lived in Ohio since 1963.
A World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, Tom worked 34 years as a draftsman for Ajax Magnethermic. Tom was an avid reader, an avid golfer, and an HO train enthusiast. He enjoyed watching the Buckeyes, Browns, Indians, and horse racing.
Fond memories of Tom live on with his loving wife of 69 years, Virginia (Ely) Woolf; three children: Kenneth (Carol) of Newton Falls, Robert Sr. (Michelina) Woolf of Boardman, and Susan McCumber of Lehigh Acres, Florida; five grandchildren: Robert (Kimberly) Woolf, Jr., Rachel and Richard, Lyndsey and Johnna; and five great-grandchildren: “My Baby” Hannah, Joselynn, Juliana, Christian, and Luna.
Preceding him in death are his mother; a son, Richard Woolf; and a sister, Clara Bird.
Memorial services will 5:00 pm Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Friends may call 4:00 to 5:00 Saturday at the funeral home.
