Warren – Ward L. Jackson passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Ward was born May 10, 1935 in Marlinton, West Virginia a son of the late Walter F. and Lula F. Smith Jackson. During high school he played football, basketball and baseball, then went on to proudly serve in the United States Army. Ward retired after many years as a Group Leader form Grinnell. He will be sadly missed by his wife the former Wilda Butler whom he married July 2, 1960; his daughters: Tricia Jackson and Traci (Doug) Painter both of Warren; his sons: Kenneth (Jill) Jackson of Wilmington, North Carolina, Daniel (Terri) Jackson, Steven Jackson and Walter (Wendy) Jackson all of Warren; one brother: Elmer R. (Helen) Jackson of Elkins, West Virginia; three sisters: Evelyn Sparks of Marlinton, West Virginia, Betty (Chuck) Krumpe of Kinsman and Eleanor (Clifford) Hamrick of Dailey, West Virginia; seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Ward is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Orace, Howard, Alfred, and Guy Jackson. Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio.
