Betty Biddle Obituary

Betty Jo Biddle, 87, of Warren, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at ST. Joseph Health Center. She was born July 11, 1931 in Gad, W.Va., the daughter of James E., Sr. and Ottie (Bailes) Brown, moving to Ohio in the 1940s.

“Miss Betty” retired from Hillyer Children’s Center after many years as a cook.  She was a sixty-year active member of The Army-Navy Union Women’s Auxiliary Post 273 in Lakemore, and had served as Past Department President and Past National President of the Army-Navy Auxiliary.  She was an incredible baker and loved to feed her family. An avid reader in her younger days, she liked to watch the Cooking Channel, NASCAR, and Dancing with the Stars.  She was very close to her girls and doted on her granddaughters.

Precious memories of Betty live on with her two children, Kenneth E. Biddle (Jeanne) of San Diego, Calif. and Michele Baer (James) of Warren; four grandchildren: Eric Biddle (Jennifer) of Largo, Florida, Brittany and Alysha Joseph, both of Warren, and Michael Dosal (Emily) of San Diego, California; two great-granddaughters, Ella Biddle and Adalena Mercado; two brothers, Wilbur Brown (Nicole) of Howland and James Brown, Jr. (Susan) of Bristolville; five sisters: Doris Metzenroth of Champion; Ina Howard (Russell) of Warren Township, Wanda Watson of New Port Richey, Fla., Georgia Mounts (Robert) of Champion, and Norma Jean Williams of Warren; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband of fifty years, Jerry E. Biddle, whom she married February 6, 1954 and who passed January 30, 2004; a daughter, Terri Lee Biddle; a sister, Loretta Skaggs; and two brothers, Warren and Delbert Brown.
