Brenda Sue Massey, 63, of Warren, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at St. Elizabeth Health Center on Friday, August 10, 2018. Brenda was born on September 22, 1954 in Dunn, N.C. to Mrs. Alfreda (Massey) Spicer and Mr. Samuel Spicer.
She graduated from Shawtown High School. After relocating to Warren, Ohio in 1985, she was employed at Carlisle Industries and retired from GE-Ohio Lamp in 2014 after twenty years of service.
She enjoyed spending time and traveling with her family and three of her best friends. She was a member of Coleman Chapel for many years before joining Restoration Christian Fellowship Chapel under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Walker, Jr.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Marlyn Manson. Brenda is survived by her three children: Keith (Melissa) Spicer of Warren, Brian (Tisa) Harris of Sharon, Pa., and Tiwana (Delmar) Harris of Warren; three brothers: Victor (Lena) McNeill of Dunn, N.C., Kelvin (Julie) Davis of Boston, Mass., and Jeffrey (Ashiley) McNeill of Spring Lake, N.C.; three sisters: Eleanor of Charlotte, N.C., Peggy Spicer of Farrell, Pa., and Marsha (Staley) McNeill of Sanford, N.C.; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who all now will begin to cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 18, 2018 at the Restoration Christian Fellowship, 760 Main Avenue S.W., Warren, with Reverend Joseph Walker officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. .
