Bruce Bolen, Sr. Obituary

Bruce L. Bolen, Sr. 83, of Niles, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 6, 2018 at home. He was born April 30, 1935 in Wakefield, Mich., the son of Clifford and Anna (Anderson) Bolen.

Bruce retired from Thomas Steel Strip Corp. after more than thirty years of employment. He enjoyed hunting and all Michigan sports, especially the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions and Tigers.

He is sadly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Martha J. (Kalinowski) Bolen, whom he married October 19, 1957; four children: Beth (Doug) Bacon, Bruce (Karen) Bolen, Jr., Michele (Bill) Ellwood, and Roy (Colleen) Bolen; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Marlene Delich of Wakefield, Mich.; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Preceding him in death are his parents; three sisters: Shirlee, Gretchen, and Audreen; two brothers, Donald and Douglas; and a grandson, Little Bill.

Per his request, services are private. Cremation is taking place.
