Carol S. Carter

Carol S. Carter, 82, of Cortland and formerly of Bristolville and Kinsman, passed away peacefully at 7:45 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 in Cortland Health Care Center in Cortland.

Carol was born July 26, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of the late Edward Slemenda and Emma Fobes Bequeath and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1954 graduate of Vernon High School.

Carol was of the Methodist faith and retired as a machinist with Packard Electric.

In her early years, Carol was a Sunday school teacher.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling.

Carol was married to the late Charles E. Carter in 1989 and he preceded her in death in 2009.

Fond memories will be forever cherished by her son Brian K. Kidwell of Vienna and her daughter Sharon (Robert) Carlson of Johnston; half siblings Bob O. Bequeath and Barbara J. Gatsey; five grandchildren Chrisy Garnett, Amanda Holden, Gary Kidwell, Michael Kistler and Laura Stanley and by six great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will take place on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Williamsfield Cemetery in Williamsfield, Ohio, with Rev. Renae Meggitt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Carol’s name to Harbor Light Hospice 4531 Belmont Ave Unit 9, Youngstown, Ohio 44505.
