Charles D. Maiden, 70, of Warren, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at home. He was born June 27, 1948 in Garrettsville, the son of Paul and LaRue (Smith) Maiden), and had lived in the area all his life.
A Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, Chuck worked as a heavy equipment operator and welder for Harsco. He enjoyed NASCAR, Christmas movies, flea markets, and the Buckeyes on Saturdays.
Fond memories of Chuck live on with his children, Michelle (John) Rhine of Warren and Charles D. Maiden, Jr. of Warren; a stepdaughter, Melissa Montgomery of Warren; eight grandchildren: Myranda, Billy, Alyssa, Raylee, Charles III, Evan, Bricen, and Michael; a grandson-in-law, Michael; a great-grandson, Riley; two brothers, Robert of West Virginia and Grover (Pat) Maiden of Fowler; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Preceding him in death are his parents; a granddaughter, Terralynn Maiden; four sisters: Paulette Schreckengost, Nancy McMillen, Dorothy and Betty Maiden; and a brother, Jack Maiden.
Services are 3:00 pm Friday, July 13, 2018 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Friends may call 2:00 to 3:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
