Cory Allen Hollender, 30, of Cortland, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 11, 2019 at home. The Trumbull County Coroner is investigating the cause of death. He was born April 12, 1988 in Warren, the son of Ellen G. Gilbert, and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Frank E. Brink.
A graduate of Lakeview High School, Cory also studied to be a chef at TCTC and took truck driving courses through the Gordon James Career Center. He attended the Champion Church of God and was a self-taught musician, starting with the harmonica, keyboard, and ukulele, and later learning to play guitar. He loved to bake, and everyone loved his cupcakes. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and his time with his two dogs, Smoky and Remmington.
He is sadly missed by his mother, Ellen G. Hollender of Cortland; a sister, Christen Hollender of Leavittsburg; his stepfather, Frank E. Brink of Niles; the William Hollender family of Leavittsburg; Ann Marie Palcich of Cortland; the Evelyn Ellis family; and other family and friends who were dear to him.
Services are 1:00 pm Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Champion Church of God, 557 Center Street East, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Pastor Dennie Land officiating. Friends may call 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to offset funeral expenses.
