Dorothy E. Zadai, 90, of Youngstown and formerly of Vienna, passed away peacefully Friday, July 20, 2018 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born August 10, 1927 in St. Benedict, Pa., the daughter of Gregory and Mary (Shero) Buck.
A 1945 graduate of Carrolltown, Pa. High School, Dorothy retired from Packard Electric in 1991 after twenty-five years of employment. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Vienna.
Fond memories of Dorothy live on with her three sons: Gary W. (Debbi) of Wheeling, W. Va., James J. (Candy) of Moundsville, W. Va., and Robert F. Zadai of Vienna; one daughter, Linda A. (James) Cichon of Downingstown, Pa.; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Buck of Carrolltown, Pa. and Marian Kirsch of Nicktown, Pa.; and one brother, Greg Buck of Wickliffe, Ohio.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband, William J. Zadai, whom she married January 27, 1947 and who died November 17, 1983; three sisters: Helen Melloy, Rosemary Grove, and Grace Dillon; two brothers, Frank and William Buck; and a grandson, Steven Zadai.
Services will be conducted privately at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic.Church. Her urn will be laid to rest at Meadowbrook Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3695 Boardman-Canfield Rd., Suite 301, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
