George Joseph Clements, age 76, of Warren, passed away peacefully Friday, May 18, 2018 at UPMC-Montefiore in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born June 17, 1941 in Chicago, Ill., the son of George Joseph and Grace Helen (Whiters) Clements, and had lived in Ohio since 1989.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, George worked in machine repair at General Motors-Lordstown, where he retired after 24 years of employment. A member of the Greenville Gun Club, he was an avid trap and skeet shooter, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is sadly missed by his beloved wife, Jeanne Anne (Danso) Clements, whom he married May 16, 2003; two children, Nicholas (Denna) Clements of North Ridgeville and Danielle Clements of Sacramento, Calif.; two stepchildren, William (Amy) Roskos of Orwell and Jennifer Roskos of Warren; and eight grandchildren: Nicholas and Dylan Clements, Olivia, Alexis, and Sophia Crowe, Shaaniqa and William Sims, and Madison Roskos.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his first wife, Phyllis (Brown) Clements, who passed in 1997; and a grandchild, Joseph Sims.
Per his request, services are private. Cremation is taking place. His urn will be buried at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland at a later date.
