Joseph A. Serrecchio, Sr., 86, of Austintown, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 21, 2019 at his son’s home in Austintown. He was born October 28, 1932 inYoungstown, the son of Joseph and Mary (DePinto) Serrecchio, and had lived in the area all his life.

A Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a mechanic, Joe had worked as a car inspector for Conrail. He enjoyed fishing and walking at the Eastwood Mall.

He is sadly missed by his son, Joseph A. Serrecchio, Jr. (Jeannie) of Austintown; two grandchildren, Brian and Jamie Serrecchio; two great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Nico Serrecchio; and a sister, Rose, of Youngstown.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a sister, and four brothers.

There are no services or calling hours, per his wishes. Cremation is taking place.
