Vergil L. Easterling

Vergil L. Easterling, 78, of Niles, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at home.  He was born April 29, 1940 in Olive Hill, Ky., the son of Ephraim and Georgia Easterling, and had lived in Ohio all his adult life.

Vergil served proudly in the U.S. Army and worked for RMI Titanium.  An avid golfer, he was a member of DeForest Free Will Baptist Church and also enjoyed playing the guitar.

He is sadly missed by his two grandchildren, Joshua Easterling of Davenport, Fla. and Tracie Easterling of Warren; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca (Rick) Dessez of Howland; two sisters; and two brothers.

Preceding him in death are his parents; a son, Michael Easterling; a daughter, Tracie Easterling; two sisters; and five brothers.

Services are 11:00 am Monday, March 18, 2019 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with Rev. Starkey Gilliam officiating.  Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home.
