CHAMPION – Colbert “Toby” S. Miller, Jr. age 73, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in the emergency room of Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born February 10, 1950 in Watertown, N.Y., the son of Colbert S., Sr. and Virginia (Young) Miller.
Toby graduated from Elyria High School and attended Lorain County Community College. He retired from General Motors-Lordstown after many years as a millwright and supervisor. He was a devout Christian who loved the Lord his God above all others and attended Believers Church. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and boating, and spent over fifty years boating with Peggy on Lake Erie and Mosquito Lake.
Precious memories of Toby live on with his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Peggy (Means) Miller, whom he married July 26, 1969; three children: Stephanie Richmond (Glen) of Braceville, Mark Miller (Julie) of Kansas, and Michael Miller of Warren; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Tina Pizer of Grafton; and three brothers: Jim (Debbie) of Aurora, Colo., Michael of Florida, and Robert Miller (Debbie) of Tennessee.
His parents precede him in death.
Calling hours are 5:00 to 6:00 pm Monday, February 5, 2024 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. The memorial service follows at 6:00 pm, with Pastor Bill Carter officiating. You are welcome to attend and reflect on Toby’s great life.
