Warren- Gary Washington, age 64, passed away on September 9, 2022. He was born on June 17, 1958, to
Willie Joe “Duke” Washington and Mildred A “Perry” Washington. Gary graduated from high school and was a
U.S. Army Veteran. He was a great man who could do many things. He could play every instrument, but his
favorite was the bass guitar. He loved to detail his family’s cars and was a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan. He
was extremely family orientated, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was very
funny and loved to have fun. He was a bass player for Famel and J.C. and the Soul Angels. Gary leaves to
cherish his memories his children; Claude McCorkle, Gary T. Crockett, William A. Crockett, Adrienne D.
Washington, Keith D. Crockett, Kevin S. Washington, Willie J. Washington, Melinda S. Washington, Crystal L.
Washington, and Autumn Washington, his siblings; William Lee Washington, Joseph Washington, Melvin
Washington, Jerome Washington, Fannie L. Howard, Belinda Ann Washington, Aileen Washington, and Versie
Cummings, and his 26 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his
brother, Willie George Washington, and his sisters, Bobby Rodgers, and Shawnta Lee, and granddaughter;
Adrienne Faith Hasley/Crockett. A service will be held at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home on September 22,
2022, at 11 a.m. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
