Warren – James Kovac “Jimmy”, 60, passed away on January 17, 2023, at St. Augustin Health Center in Cleveland, OH. He was born on December 26, 1962, in Warren Ohio to James and Mary (Keener) Kovac.
Jimmy was a 1981 graduate of Howland HS. After high school he enlisted in the US Army for six years where he received multiple service awards. He attended YSU and received his bachelor’s degree. He then went to work for The Department of Defense in Cleveland Ohio. He also had a Cosmetology and Barbers license.
He lived on the Stillwagon Farm in Howland raising chickens and bee’s for honey. He enjoyed listening to music (R.E.M., MSB and Tom Petty were some of his favorite bands), hunting small game, cooking and making pizza. He is known for being a jokester of the family and always made everyone laugh.
He is survived by his brother, David Kovac “Julie” of Cortland; sisters Janice Silvers “Andre of Florida, and Betsy Vine of Cleveland; nieces, Jamie Neroni and Lauren Siemborski (his Goddaughter); nephews, David Vine and Stevie Siemborski.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A committal will take place at 12:00 noon, Monday, January 23, 2023, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Niles Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio, 44484.
