HOWLAND – James “Jim” P. Rulick, 76, died on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Jim was born on January 10, 1944 in Warren, the son of Steve and Rose Rulick.
He was a Howland High School graduate of the Class of 1962. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served from 1963 to 1968.
Jim was quite the unique character who chose to follow the road less traveled. It wasn’t unheard of for Jim to drive to California, get a coffee, then head back home. He was also a sports fanatic, following the Indians and Browns from a very young age. He also enjoyed going to many different casinos.
Jim had a big heart. He cared for his mom at home until she had to be placed in a nursing home, then he went to visit her on a daily basis.
Jim is survived by his siblings: brothers Steve of Niles and Charlie (Donna) of North Carolina; sisters Jane Colecchi (Nello) of Southington, Floss Zampedro (Joe) of Lordstown, and Rosemarie Green (Rick) of Berlin Center.
Preceding Jim in death were his parents and siblings Charlene Peterson, Irene Ritter, and Bill Rulick.
