Kana Tillis

Kana L. Tillis, 36, of Warren, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at 3:12 PM in his home.  The Trumbull County Coroner’s Office is investigating.

He was born May 30, 1984 in Opp, Alabama the son of Cora M. Hines and Melvin Tillis.

A 2002 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Kana furthered his education by attending Trumbull Business College where he majored in accounting.  He enjoyed music and dancing.

Kana was of the of the Baptist faith.

Fond memories of Kana will forever be remembered by his mother, Cora of Youngstown; his father Melvin Tillis of Opp, Alabama; his maternal grandmother Louise Hines; a daughter Deaja Ainsley of Florida; brother Cameron (Ricketa) Tillis of Warren and sisters Ayana Tillis of Opp, Alabama, Whitney Hines of Warren, Brittany Hines also of Warren and Isis Tillis of Opp, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Giles Hines and by his aunt Vira Shakespeare.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from Noon to 1:00 PM in the funeral home.

A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warren.
