L. Charles "Chuck" Crooks

Lewis “Chuck” Charles Crooks, 70, lifelong resident of Newton Falls, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 at 1:15 a.m. in Trumbull Regional Medical Center under the comforting care of hospice.

Chuck was born September 30, 1949 in Newton Falls the son of the late Emmett and Dorothy Schuler Blair and was a 1968 graduate of Newton Falls, High School.

After graduation, Chuck traveled the world.  After settling, Chuck used his talented skills becoming a first-class cabinet maker.  He worked for 15 years with Walt Disney World in Florida and then traveled to Angels, Angola and worked in construction for Gulf Oil.  After some time, Chuck moved back to Newton Falls, where he opened his own wood shop:  “Woods Chuck’s Woodworks”.

Fond memories of Chuck will live on in the memory of his two sisters Judy (John) Jamison of Howland and Rose (Bob) Cox of Niles; and two brothers John (Kay) Crooks of Newton Falls and Hugh (Loan) Blair of West Palm Beach, Florida.  He is also survived by many dear friends, especially his two fury friends Cheyenne and Lola.

Besides his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by two sisters Betty Chicko and Linda List.

Calling hours with social distancing will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Odessa Pinkard, Pastor of Eastside Church of God, officiating.

Those attending calling hours and memorial service are asked to please wear facial coverings and observe all means of social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Chuck’s name to Never Muzzled, P.O. Box 293, Newton, Falls, OH 44444.
