MASURY – Lesley Ray Bissell, age 63, lifelong Trumbull County resident, entered into the loving arms of his Savior Friday, April 9, 2021 at Sharon Regional Medical Center in Sharon, Pa. He was born December 29, 1957 in Warren, the son of Kenneth A. and LaDonna (Blackson) Bissell.
Les graduated from Mineral Ridge High School and Youngstown State University, with a degree in music education. He worked in quality control for AML. An accomplished pianist and vocalist, he was involved with church music ministries since he was twelve, most recently with Eastside Church of God in Warren. Les was an ordained minister with the Evangelical Church Alliance and had a true heart for God. He enjoyed classical music and opera, played the trombone, and recorded a gospel album thirty-five years ago. He also enjoyed his family and his many pets.
A man with a generous and kind soul, he always had a kind word for everyone, and never had a mean bone in his body.
Precious memories of Les live on with his adoring wife of thirty-four years, Bonnie J. (Ivey) Bissell, whom he married September 12, 1986, and with whom he shared a birthday; one brother, Kenneth A. Bissell, Jr. (Cheri) of Mineral Ridge; one sister, Nora Jamison (Tim) of Mineral Ridge; three nieces: Corrie Bissell, Bethany Beck (Brenton), and Rebecca Hames (Ian); two nephews, Benjamin Bissell and Joshua Jamison (Emily); and five great-nieces and nephews.
His parents, Kenneth and LaDonna Bissell, precede him in death.
