Niles – Robert Lee Henry, passed away on January 19, 2023, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on November 20, 1950, in Niles, OH, to the late Martin and Leola Manson Henry Jr.
Robert was a 1969 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. In 1974 he received his bachelor’s degree at Millikin University in Decatur IL in pre-law. He worked as a claims adjuster for various companies throughout the United States.
He was a decorated hall of fame running back at Millikin University. He was a member of Valley Baptist Church in Niles. Robert liked cooking, playing cards and tennis.
He is survived by his son, Kareem Henry (Chanda Lambert Henry), daughter, Verna Binford; brothers, Martin Henry III, and Jerry Rozier; sister Diane Rozier; grandson Braxton Henry along with six other grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and best friend Carvel Johnson.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael Rozier and Ernie Rozier; daughter, Tensy Ricks.
A caring cremation has taken place. No services will be held at this time.
